Ajax, Bullet & Ayara |
| Heart | Kin | Home | Metalhead |
The air had grown cold and harsh near the mountains, she knew with all her heart venturing to Hawthorne would likely cause disappointment from her father. Instead she watched, for she had nothing else to do these days. Ajax had all but disappeared with the Summer, though it seemed it was too early to think of that. Before she could speak, her brother had seemingly perched on the wrong cliff.
Her head snapped to look in his direction, a scream emitting from his jaws as he began to fall down the steep mountains. The goddess rushed to her paws to follow him as he tumbled, hitting bluffs and sharp rocks all the way down. She huffed and puffed as she finally got to where he laid motionless. "Bullet?! Bullet . . ." Blood splattered the snow where he had hit. She sighed, her head hanging low as she gathered the strength and fought back tears. He wasn't breathing.
She had no one left out here, nowhere to call home. Well, that wasn't true. If she knew her father, she knew he was a loyal and dutiful man who always paraded the borders of packs he protected. She quickly snatched him by his scruff, pulling him into the air with her mighty wings. Tears streamed down her cheeks as she flew in the direction of her fathers home.
She landed gently at the borders, she too often came her to contemplate seeing him and her sister but they were probably too busy for her. From the view of the trees she could see a gorgeous view of a lake. Perfect. She carried him over and began digging a resting place for his body, carefully setting him in it when she was done. As she placed a stone over his grave, she heard a call that she knew all too well - Father.
Her rubies looked over in the direction, why was he calling? Why was his alpha not? Curious her scattered brain brought her in for his invitation. Her gray and black form gently moving through the trees almost like she was in a daze, she couldn't feel anything. She was the first to arrive to the meeting he was holding, and that's when it hit her. Her head raised in confusion, her rubies widening as she made eye contact with him.
"So you remarried . . ." She said quietly. "I guess you gave up on mother, though I did too." She chuckled softly, tears still streaming down her cheeks. "Ajax is gone, and Bullet died. I just buried him by the lake, we can have a service there if you'd like later. I'm sure he'd love to see you." She said, her eyes looking to the ground as she sat. "The crown suits you, and I'm sure Ayara loves being a Princess. I'd like to stay here too, if you and your wife are okay with it." With her broken heart, all she could think of was this very place. Her brain had hit a fog, she needed something to do. Somewhere to be. She had flashing memories of the very pretentious queen she had murdered here when she first arrived, surely her bones were all that was left by now in the ground. Seemingly, no one had found that out. No one except Bullet, and he took that to his grave. She lowered her head and wiped her tears away before sitting up to look at her father and wait with him for the rest of the pack.
