Leona had scented her father. Just a faint scent, but enough to reassure her that her father was here. Or, at least, he’d been by here.

Leona knew a pack meeting was being called. She’d followed her dad’s scent all the way here. She wasn’t about to stop now. Maybe she could drop by, ask them if they’d seen a man fitting her father’s description, and if they hadn’t, move on. Leona liked that plan. She opted to advance deeper in.
She slipped in and out of foliage, puddles, shade. Finally Leona came to a clearing with many wolves assembled. She was interested to see a sky-pelted adult, a winged male, a couple of horned wolves. Her eyes landed on the woman with fur the color of a setting sun, who seemed to be the queen. Leona knew that she could now control storms. She had been practicing over the lake the last couple days.
Her eyes swept over the winged wolf-then landed back on him again. She’d overlooked him because of his wings, but she would know him anywhere. It seemed Starfall hadn’t only changed her.
Daddy? No, there's nothing that I wouldn't do
