He had found his daughter, Leona. She was reluctant to join Amberbjorne, as her mother had sent her only to find Vaughn and then bring him back. But Vaughn had no intention of leaving. He missed Kenna, and their other three children-Kayleigh, Roxie, and Petyr-but Starfall and Amberbjorne were like a home to him now. There was no threat of humans, no threat of wolves trying to kill him. Vaughn desperately wanted his daughter to stay with him, so that he could carve out a life in Starfall. Here, safe, with her. But Leona was living in an old den just outside of Amberbjorne, waiting for her father to "see sense" and realize he would "break Mom's heart if you don't come home." 

A sigh escaped his lips as Themis' call rang out. It was time to meet any new members who might have joined. His heart skipped a beat as he remembered Evangeline, the pretty female whom he'd seen at the first meeting he'd been present for. Vaughn set out to the meeting. 

She was already there when he arrived there. Evangeline. He couldn't take his mind off her. And Themis, the pretty queen. Vaughn dipped his head in a bow to her. Hello, Queen Themis. Good afternoon. He sat respectfully in between Evangeline and Themis.
