As she sat there, Themis couldn’t help but think.. what would the pack think of her sons behaviour? Sure, Deimus was good. He’d turned out to be a good Prince afterall, and him and Yesimire make a wonderful pair. She was proud of him for how far he’d come, how he’d escaped the same fate as Phobus. That he didn’t follow in his minutes older brother. As she sat in thought, the woman heard a voice and she shook herself back into reality. “Excuse me, but is everything alright?” It was Evangline. Quickly, the woman put on a smile and greeted her with a nod. “You’re looking quite upset.” Was it really that obvious? She had to change that so the pack wouldn’t suspect really anything bad. It was her duty as Alphess to tell them, however. “I’m alright, Eve. I promise.” She spoke back, giving her a small smile before noticing that Elara, Vader, and Skywalker had entered into her clearing. Then she noticed the way Vader snapped at Skywalker. Immediate flashbacks to the way Phobus would treat Deimus crossed her mind. If Vader were to be anything like Phobus.. the pack would be in danger. She had to put a stop to this. The woman stood, sending a pointed look to Elara. “Best mind your pups, my dear. I won’t allow Vader to speak to anyone that way - especially his brother. If he’s to grow up like this, his place in Amberbjorne will be short lived.” She said sternly, her message clear. She wasn’t going to allow another Phobus-like monster to grow up here, nor to live here under her reign. The next to enter was Vaughn, one of her sigmas. The woman had taken her seat again, tail curled tightly around her paws. The situation with Vader and Skywalker could come another time. “Hello, Queen Themis. Good afternoon.” He spoke respectfully before taking his place near Eve. The Queen gave him a nod, casting him a smile. “Good afternoon, Vaughn. Glad to see you joining us!” As she was speaking, Deimus came in and sat below her. “She’ll explain everything, Eve.” He explained to the girl, before saying his hellos to the mother and her pups. "Mother, everything will be ok. You have us supporting you. Yesimire should arrive soon, Mabbit and the others too. We have your back." Her son spoke quietly to her, and she gave him a silent thank you in return. “It’s good seeing you here, Deimus. I’m excited to see Yesimire again.” She told him in return. As she spoke, Mabbit came hurrying in and perched next to her. His reassuring smile was really all she needed to see. "I'm sorry I'm late my love, I was beginning to hunt. That can wait." He apologized about his tardiness, but she didn’t mind. Wolves were only just showing up now. “Don’t worry, my dear. Thank you..” She whispered back to him, her eyes locked on him. He took over the greetings, which gave Themis time to ponder everything that was going to be happening. She’d be telling them about Phobus, giving out new ranks, and making some changes to the laws in their pack. After her demon sons outburst, it was the only fair thing to do. Then, a new voice hit her audits and the woman glanced up. A white man, black rings around his eyes and black stilts. "I heard you're accepting new members. My name is Xolmin." He spoke. "I can offer my services wherever you see fit. Soldier, messenger, anything." She gently nosed Mabbit, before giving Xolmin a smile. “Welcome, Xolmin. You’re welcome to join our ranks. I’ll be handing out some ranks in a few here.” Themis grinned, before gazing over her now growing pack. Suddenly a small figure entered her clearing, and immediate worry crossed her face. Such a young pup, wandering all the way here? “H-hi..” The little voice squeaked out. "I..I don't know how to get back to my brothers and sisters.. Can I stay with you?" It pained her to hear how scared he was. Themis immediately nodded, looking to Mabbit. “I'm.. lost." Themis stood, looking to the little man. Her golden suns radiated nothing but kindness. “Oh my dear, lost boy. Of course you’re welcome here. Why don’t you come sit next to Deimus here, the big white wolf with horns. We’ll protect you. I’ll speak with you more after the meeting, ok?” She told him calmly. “What’s your name?” While she waited for his answer, another white wolf entered her clearing. "I'm Onai. It's very nice to meet you two. I would love to offer my services to the both of you. I may not be a fighter, but I am an excellent caretaker. I'm a mother of several, two of which are presumed to be in the pack of Sindri, which may make forming an alliance somewhat easier. As for my other three, I'm unsure. I believe two might be headed to Hawthorne. My love, Jack Skellington, might be joining here as well. But as I said, I can do whatever you'll need me to do." The woman spoke, and Themis couldn’t help but smile. She seemed so sweet, and an alliance with Sindri could help, especially with something brewing from Tarben’s end. “Welcome, Onai. We’d love for you to join us.” She spoke, giving her a nod. Just as she welcomed another wolf, Natalya came running into the clearing with a pup in her jaws. “Queen Themis, King Mabbit, I found this little one in the forest, all by herself. . . . The poor thing didn't have anyone around her. Might I have the pleasure of adopting her?” Themis was taken aback, surprised to see another young pup joining. Natalya seemed so convinced on adopting her, taking her as her own, and Themis had to accept. The woman would make a wonderful mother, giving how sweet she was. “Of course, Nat.” She gave her permission, seeing a man waltz over to Onai, She presumed this was Jack Skellington, Onai’s mate. "I'm Jack, pleasure to meet you." He greeted both her and Mabbit, before whispering to Onai. Most likely along the lines of an apology. Great to see another couple joining their pack - maybe more pups would be on the way? Amberbjorne was beginning to grow into better numbers. The last three to join them was Valkyrie, who entered and immediately knew of Themis being upset. "Is everything alright?" her question had been the same as Eve’s, but she didn’t mind. She gave the girl a smile, nodding. Her step-daughter - who she saw as her daughter too - was grieving the loss of their brother, Bullet. She felt sorry for the girl, and Mabbit and Ayara. They’d lost a brother, a son.. Themis understood that pain. Next was Yesimire, who greeted them happily and began speaking with Deimus. Lastly was Ayara, who greeted her, then her father, then her sister. “Hello, Ayara. It’s wonderful to see you.” Themis smiled, knowing that Ayara wasn’t her biggest fan. She couldn’t blame her - her father had married some strange woman and suddenly she was a princess? The change must’ve been surprising. As everyone sat, talking amongst themselves, Themis stood and gently swept her tail over Mabbit’s shoulder. “Welcome, everyone. For the new one’s joining us today, I’m Queen Themis. This is my husband, King Mabbit. It’s wonderful to see you all, and great to see some new faces.” She started off, glancing at Mabbit for support before continuing. “There is some news I must share with the pack here today. As some of you know, Phobus isn’t here. The night of Deimus and Yesimire’s wedding, the monster took advantage of Yesimire’s sister, Wisteria. A trial was held, and Phobus was banished and is currently imprisoned in Hawthorne. He no longer holds a place in Amberbjorne, or any pack as far as I’m aware. If, and this is a big if, you ever see him, if he manages to escape, he is a kill-on-site. Phobus will never be welcome in the lands of Amberbjorne. He has a bounty on his head now - if you find him, a promotion will be in order.” Her voice quivered slightly, but she cleared her throat. Themis looked down at Deimus and Yesimire, attempting to give them a smile. “But today, we’ll focus on the good. We have several new faces, and some new ranks are in order. Deimus and Yesimire, you’ll both be promoted to our Deltas. You’ve both proved yourselves worthy enough. For Sigmas, we have Vaughn and Valkyrie currently. However, I’ve chosen to appoint some more Sigmas to our group. Xolmin, Jack, Natalya. You three will be joining in as Sigmas. You’ll listen to Deimus and Yesimire’s words, heed their decisions, and fight as a team. Ayara, if you accept, I’d love for you to become our pack Theta. Onai, you’ll become a Zeta. Elara, you’ve been known as a pack Zeta, but I’ve decided to move you as one of our Iotas. I appreciate your service, but after seeing what I’ve seen, it’s the best decision. Especially with the new pups joining us today.” She spoke, casting another pointed look at the cold woman, before moving on. “The two new pups will be unranked, until they’ve grown into adults. They’ll be ranked then.” As she explained, her eyes caught sight of the young pup again. “As for some new laws. I’ve decided to come up with some that will keep our pack safe. No one, unless given an order, is to harm a singular hair on a wolves head. This applies to inside our lands. If news gets back to us that such thing has happened, I will not hesitate to banish another soul. Battle training and war are spared from this rule - battle training will be and must be held under Deimus and Yesimire’s eye. As for our alliances, Hawthorne and Dawnshire are welcome on our soil at anytimes - and do not need permission to enter. They’re family and friends now.” Ending her speech, the woman then sat, looking to Mabbit. “That’s about all I have to say. Mabbit, do you have anything else you’d like to add?”
