The beautiful Cosette did follow him, thankfully. He, naturally, had some doubts, but knew well enough that she would not. Especially with how close they had gotten. Close enough that they sat very close together and shared glances at meetings. A smile crossed his maw as he bounded towards Firefly Forest, Cosette following after him. When he reached the forest his light green-blue eyes noticed some fireflies come to light the dusk. He took this moment to playfully introduce the sandy blonde lass to Firefly Forest. It seemed as if she was brought out of a stupor, as it took her a bit to look around, but when she did…it made Marius’s heart beat faster – the awe and excitement in her green eyes, and the fireflies’ light reflecting into them…it really was too beautiful. His maw was graced with a toothy grin, but this was also hiding the fact that his jaw had dropped at her beauty. He snapped out of it when Cosette headed his way, hopping on the ledge. His ears perked at her words - ”Marius…It’s beautiful…” He smiled softly as she approached. He did not expect her to brush up against him though. He did not jump away, however. This was what he wanted, really. However, his face became flushed and his ears pinned back out of embarrassment. He slowly would move his tails so that they were around Cosette, hoping that she would potentially take that as an invite to come closer. She spoke again, which brought him out of his flustered state, his head turning to her, ears alert. ”How did you stumble across this beauty? I…” His ocean green eyes noticed her get lost in the glowing woods again, and once again, a smile crossed his maw as he watched her adore it all again. He gave a soft laugh, and then spoke softly. ”I had the same reaction when I first found it too…” He then turned his head back to the scenery – the dewey leaves, the brisk summer night air, the blinking lights of fireflies…it was so different from France. But the brown furred male did not mind. "Thank you, monsiour, for bringing me here. I adore it." Her words were gentle but once again he was more flustered by her movements, as she rested her head on his shoulder. He smiled, resting his head back onto hers, speaking words without a filter. ”My dear Cosette. The beauty of this forest cannot withstand the radiance you exude.” He felt heat rise to his face again, but he accepted the words he said. His feelings for Cosette were much stronger than those he ever had for Eponine. That lass was only a friend, after all. A good friend. Marius felt a stronger pull with Cosette, one of which was fueled by adoration and romantic desires. ”How could I live, if we are parted?” He spoke again, hoping to meet her eyes with his own. This feeling…of love…was it? He would discover that it so was and that those three words would soon leave his mouth, once he understood the power behind them. Actions & Words.
