She felt his tails move around her, and a smile still rested upon her delicate features. He made her feel warm, comfortable, and most of all protected. Marius seemed to know how to do everything right, how to treat her like a lady. He was respectable, well known in Sabertooth, and slowly becoming the light of her life. It was something that the woman had always dreamed of having.. Someone to love her the way she loved them. ”I had the same reaction when I first found it too…” His voice was merely a murmur in her ear, but she could tell he was as awed at the surrounding as she was. His soft laugh brought her out of her trance to turn her head and look at him gently, her emerald orbs being lit by the surrounding fireflies. Her light pink horn glowed softly in the light, flickering against the small flickerings of the fireflies that were surrounding them. ”My dear Cosette. The beauty of this forest cannot withstand the radiance you exude.” Her breath caught in her throat as a smile spread across her lips, heat rushing to her face. The compliment was more than she could have dreamed. ”How could I live, if we are parted?” The last words from him before she kept her gaze on him, their fur brushing together with his tails around her. She wasn’t fully sure if he felt the same way as her - sure, he acted it. But he wouldn’t say. Cosette took a deep breath, pondering her words for a moment before she opened her maw to speak. “Do you see what I see, do you feel what I feel?” She murmured gently, tilting her head slightly at the question she put into the air. Her breath hitched, waiting for an answer before giving him a gentle smile. She hoped to dear god he felt the same way, the same fear and joy all mixed together in one terrifying feeling in her heart. The same agony that they weren’t fully together. The same wishing for a future together. “In my life, I’m no longer alone.. Now that the love in my life is so near.” she whispered, losing his gaze and resting her head once again upon his shoulder. “Marius, ever since we’ve met, I’ve felt the need to always be close to you. My heart has been full of emotions, some mixed and some not. All I knew is that.. It’s been you. From the day we’ve met, it’s been you.” She murmured out, her gaze fixated upon the forest that spread before them. The golden lights flickered from branch to branch, bush to bush. Cosette hoped dearly that he felt the same way as her, after getting her hopes up. Her hopes were in fact, sky high. It was all up to Marius now.
