She wasn’t fully sure if he felt the same way as her - sure, he acted it. But he wouldn’t say. Cosette took a deep breath, pondering her words for a moment before she opened her maw to speak. “Do you see what I see, do you feel what I feel?” She murmured gently, tilting her head slightly at the question she put into the air. Her breath hitched, waiting for an answer before giving him a gentle smile. She hoped to dear god he felt the same way, the same fear and joy all mixed together in one terrifying feeling in her heart. The same agony that they weren’t fully together.
