It did not take long for the comet that landed in Ashen Woodlands to affect both siblings – Kodlak had been mutated the same way as their grandmother, gaining some scaly spots. The coloration was that of an albino python, and they covered his neck and cranium in a patchy manner, in addition to a larger chunk on his upper left hind leg. His amber eyes were accented nicely by the new scales, which totally contrasted against his primarily pitch pelt and auburn colored tail. Lahmer, on the other hand, her pelt of browns, tans, blacks, and whites slowly transformed into one that represented the night sky. Upon her new pelt, the specific constellation of hydra becoming highlighted across her back. Her red eyes drastically contrasted her newfound pelt, almost appearing like a crimson moon in the night sky. By this point, the brother and sister were familiar enough with each other’s appearance. They were asleep in their mother’s den, and when the two awoke, they noticed their siblings were gone. The scent that was strongest, besides their mother and father’s, was Bellona’s – she must have left the most recently. Lahmer was the first to awake of the two, nudging her brother awake. ”Kodlak! Get up!” Her voice expressed tiredness herself, but with the most effort she could muster, she spoke, if anything, her words having the raspy-ness of a whisper. She slowly blinked a few times, red eyes contrasting her night sky painted pelt. Kodlak groaned, rolling over to face his sibling, but keeping his eyes shut. ”Five more minutes…” his words were tired as well, but Lahmer would not give in. ”No Kodlak – I think mom and dad are having a pack meeting. We need to go.” She shoved him with more of a sense of urgency this time, her small body almost turning her brother’s much larger body onto his other side. Surprised at this motion, Kodlak jumped, amber eyes now wide open. ”I’m awake!” the boy said frantically, his body expressing the surprise. Lahmer at this point had turned and started out of the den, walking towards the meeting area. Kodlak caught up shortly after, his primarily black body almost like a shadow, but his auburn tail and albino python scales made him stand out. It did not take long for them to reach the clearing, where many other wolves were present. They found their position by their siblings Skade who had gained some horns, Bellona who was scale patched similar to Kodlak, Ruax who had gained wings, and Helheim, who did not look very different upon quick glance. If any of the siblings stood out, it certainly had to be Lahmer. She turned to her mother, who began her important message about the nearby, dangerous pack of Tarben, and her mother offering to turn her members into vampires. It was during this pause that both Kodlak and Lahmer addressed their mother with a small nuzzle against her, with Lahmer going first followed by Kodlak. Neither spoke, considering that what Lucaya had just announced was important business. Both, although not speaking to each other, met the other's eyes and a mutual desire to become a vampire like their mother was present. Lucaya could probably pick up on that, to be honest. The two pups, although not necessarily rambunctious, their tails were wagging. They did not quite understand what might happen if they agreed, but they both would come to possibly regret the decision later on in their lives and whatever paths they took. Actions & Words.
