He sat deep in thought of the new home he had only just come to. The faces, there were so many of them - So many names he'd have to remember. The only ones he caught were the lovely lady that had come in just after he and Bastian - Fara, and the child who spouted off to him happily her name - Chickadee. She had mentioned her mother as well, but his foggy brain had failed to capture the name. All he had known at the time was he needed food. Now he could properly eat at least, and he had been these past few nights.
But as he had slept, he had seen that same familiar face he had seen at the meeting - Fara. She truly was a stunning woman, yet he had so quickly pushed it to the side of his brain. Who would knowingly want to be with the troubled brother of another packs King? He surely already had a bounty and men looking for him. Or did Beartooth have something sneaky he was up to to get to him and Bastian? He sighed, what did he ever even do to deserve this? They were brothers, and yet Beartooth hated him for no reason at all since they were pups. Bastian didn't, but yet he was an outcast in Beartooths eyes.
He didn't deserve any of the hatred and backlash he got for just existing. He didn't understand it. Not until Bastian had told him the truth after the meeting - That they didn't share the same father. They were half brothers. Still brothers, but yet Beartooth didn't see him as even that. In his head, he was the living proof of their mothers cheating and the reason that he had not held a crown when he became an adult. So Beartooth set himself on mating with his new Kings daughter. When the King found out, Beartooth claimed it wasn't him and blamed it all on the poor soul. That's why he locked himself away. That's why he was still after him, to erase him out of hatred for something he wasn't even to blame in.
His thoughts quickly broke off into nothingness as he saw the very girl he had dreamt of last night. His audits perked up as his icy gaze caught her pink eyes. "Pardon me.." Her very stare could melt him, yet he chose to stay strong and see where this was going. He had yet to formerly even meet her until now. "You're Bones, right? I believe that's what I had heard at the meeting.. Please correct me if I'm wrong." He watched as she got closer, and peered to his den with a smile. "Yes, you're correct." He said with a small smile. Truth be told, he was quite shy. This was his first encounter with anyone since he got to Starfall.
"Winter started so soon. I wasn't expecting that when I arrived in these lands. This is my first winter with these wings and I wasn't expecting it to be painful on them.." He watched as she looked back to him with a smile, he smiled back at her. "I'm Fara, by the way. I wasn't sure if you caught my name during the meeting. It seemed a bit hectic." He chuckled softly, rising to his feet. "No, I know. You're not a very easy face to forget, Fara." He said softly, looking to meet her gaze with a smile. "If you'd like, we could talk more inside. I don't want you to be in pain from the cold, it's pretty warm in there." He nodded to his den, as in an "after you". It'd be nice to have someone he could talk to, and if he truly was infertile like he had thought then maybe he could be with her without having an issue with a Beartooth run in.
