He spoke of Beartooth, Bastian, and the struggles of being related to such a beast as Beartooth. How ruthless he was. He couldn't even begin to imagine what kind of life he was creating for his pack. How could someone so ruthless be in charge of so much, have so much power? It made him feel sick at the thought he could have put a bounty on him. Would Hawthorne even want him if it meant there could be an invasion of outsiders tearing through to get to him or Bastian?
The beautiful woman in front of hims words brought him out of his rapid overthinking that just spiraled him downward. Her soft thank you made his eyes flick back to her. Maybe he could stop living in fear, maybe he could be with her and show Bastian it was okay. "I understand your fears, Bones.. I couldn't imagine having to hide from your own brother. But you've done nothing wrong. Beartooth seems like a coward. He didn't face his problems back in your homelands - he passed the blame to someone who didn't deserve it. You." She had anger in her voice, his brows raised at her a bit in astonishment.
"You deserve so much more than having to hide from someone whose a monster. You and Bastian both deserve to be happy and free, to be able to make your own choices. I want you to be free, to be happy, and get to choose what you do in your life." How he wanted that too, how he wanted to be free and happy. To not live in fear and to be shackled. A small smile parted his lips, but faded as she shivered. He felt bad that she couldn't be warm in these conditions, and a part of him just wanted to wrap her in his giant wings for warmth and safety. "You deserve to live a plentiful life."
He smiled to her again, his icy blue gaze entrapped in those rose pinks."Thank you . . . It'd be easier said than done. A plentiful life is growing old with someone to love and children. I don't think I can even have children." He said softly, giving a sigh. He wasn't really upset about it, more so feeling himself feel more relaxed with her than he had since he arrived here. Have you told Lucaya any of this? Has Bastian? I'm sure she'll never allow you to be hurt on her lands. And like I said, if war is to break out.. you'll have me by your side, ready to protect." She gave a soft giggle as he chuckled. "I haven't told a soul besides you, who am I to disturb a whole pack with family bullsh!t?" He shrugged his shoulders, his smile falling.
"Besides. We must have more numbers than Tarben, hm? And Vampires on our side. Lucaya is holding a changing ceremony. I won't be participating, are you? Or Bastian?" He shook his head at her question. "I won't be, Bastian likely won't either. I'm not very sure about Tarben, I haven't seen it or heard much aside from Beartooths howls." He fell silent, looking to meet her gaze once more as she shivered. Her body moved forward, leaning onto his. He felt his heart skip a beat as he froze, his eyes looking to meet hers again as she quickly collected herself. His cheeks likely turned a visible pink as he couldn't help but smile.
"I'm sorry. Instinct." He shook his head with a small chuckle, his wing extending out to drape over her shoulders and wings gently so not to fold them. "Don't apologize, you're cold . . ." He said softly, if she was to move away from him he'd simply collect himself and fall back to try and avoid showing any flustering. If she didn't, he hoped she'd move closer so he could wrap his wing around her better. For warmth, but more so for comfort. "I don't mean to be too forward, but if you're really the cold . . . I know something that can possibly warm you up." He only half joked, though he had to admit to himself sooner or later that he was falling for her. He couldn't not think of her, how he wanted her.
