Upon arriving to Maverick’s den, her soft brown eyes flecked with blue noticed Maverick’s jaw drop for a second at her beauty, which caused Kelsea to slightly tilt her head, a soft smile gracing her face before she had thanked him for saving her. ”Of course, I only wish I had gotten there sooner.” His words were kind – surely he meant it. However, the truth of it was, that if Oracle had not have passed, Kelsea wouldn’t look like the angel she did now, quite the polar opposite of the male in front of her, who looked more demon-esque if anything. But she had to address the pink tie between the two, her nerves kicking in. As she spoke, trying to cover up her unfiltered thoughts, Mav had laughed, smirking after she had finished. His words did not make Kelsea calm down, rather, she felt her heart beating rapidly and her face become so much warmer than before. ”If you wish to so easily be mine, that’d be alright with me.” Her eyes flicked to his face to see his smile grace his lips before he spoke once again. ”I can’t like, you’re breathtaking Kelsea.” Kelsea said a silent thank you to her deceased brother. He knew her too well – she’d need a male around to keep her stable through it all. This time, however, the male could very well be a lover. She looked down at her paws, even more embarrassed, as Maverick continued. ”What do you wish to do, Kelsea? Lay with a royal blood, have kids, what are your wants?” She was brought out of her stupor by the demon male directing her head to look at him – her light brown eyes meeting his own crimson. ”What do you need from me? We can have all of time to get to know each other, we could spend hours together under the stars, or we can head over to my den, hm? Or if you’re actually not interested, no harm no foul and we can sever the tie. Only thing is it’d make us hate each other instead of…well, I’m sure you know.” Another chuckle left his lips, a small smile falling on Kelsea’s face. She liked the sound of his laughter. She stepped back, taking a deep breath to recollect her thoughts, her tail wagging softly ”Well…” She started, shyly looking to her paws before attempting to meet Mav’s gaze again. ”I cannot lie to myself – I have feelings for you. That much is evident.” She then laughed nervously. ”This is just…new to me. These feelings. This appearance even. Please just…bear with me for a second.” She sighed, looking up to the sky, mouthing the words ‘thank you, Oracle’. She then would attempt to meet Maverick’s gaze again. ”Maverick, I would love to continue down this path with you.” She said, smiling. Eventually, that smile would fade as she got a closer look at Maverick…he was the one that her mother had been tied to prior. He broke the tie with Daneliya because of some reason that Kelsea did not understand at the time, but it made sense now since she was of age. Her mother ran off with the rest of the family to Sabertooth, whilst Oracle and Kelsea remained here. Perhaps Oracle would have been safe if they had followed…however, Kelsea would not be here, standing in front of a man who she was now soul-tied to, one that adored her in ways her brother could not. Her eyes shifted. ”About that…Maverick. The tie.” She cleared her throat, before attempting to make eye contact with him once again. She had to drop the bomb that could very well cause the demon boy to break a tie again. ”Daneliya is my mother.” She paused, giving it time to sink in for him but not enough time for him to react before she spoke again. ”I completely understand if you wish to sever the tie because of her. But there is a greater power led me to not leave Hawthorne, to become soul-tied with you, and for the recent gaining of my wings and pelt. I am only asking you consider it. I understand if you need to take your time because of this, but just know…” She drifted off, letting a sigh leave her maw, and then she spoke once more, her words barely above a whisper. ”I need you. I can’t do this grieving thing on my own. I’m sure you can’t either.” Actions and thoughts/others and "Words."
