“BURN. IN. HELL!!” came the cry. Remus plunged into battle alongside Artemis and the rest of the front line. He was racked with worry for Artemis, and for his children. Nellie and her children as well. His sister was not exactly in the best mindset as of late.
He was quickly separated from the others, and as he fought his way back to Artemis, he saw . . .
She speared a boy of Tarben. Tried to blink some blood out of her eyes. Came face to face with the tiny Tarben man who’d killed Lazarus - and Remus’ shriek echoed throughout the battlefield as the Felis latched onto her, draining her life force. Tears blurred his vision. By the time Remus finally stood over his beautiful love’s corpse, she was dead and her murderer vanished, fled into the fray. In rage, he spun to attack the first Tarben member he could get his claws on. Remus’ paws savaged the boy’s face, taking at least one eye. Blood trickled down his claws into his fur, but he didn’t notice. All he could think of was avenging his mate’s grisly death.
