Apollo Apollo, much like the rest of Sabertooth, was scared, but also wanted revenge. Tarben had done so much wrong, and although his pack was not necessarily innocent either (thanks to the cocky Hermes), Apollo wanted to fight. So, the skyling boy’s expression was somewhere between his father’s stoic, stony stare, and Hermes’s frightened face, as he walked down the cliffside of Sabertooth towards the Proving Grounds. Apollo kept his head high – he would be honorable. If he were to die, it would be an honorable death. As the combat broke out, Apollo tried to find a moment to strike, someone to save. There was not much he could do himself without wings to all those attacking from the air, but he could help out on the ground. His grey and navy eyes locked onto Artemis as she was attacked by a Tarben brute. As he ran up, wanting to intervene, Remus stepped in first and was injured himself. Apollo growled loudly, hoping to redirect the attacker’s attention before he lunged at the brute, one much taller than himself. It didn’t surprise him – a majority of Tarben’s population was at least part dire. Given the size difference, Apollo didn’t account for the ease of access for this brute to snap his neck and toss him around like a ragdoll. If the brute had any elemental abilities, that’d be quite a way to kill him too. When and how the brute did decide to take Apollo’s life didn’t matter, he wouldn’t go out without leaving a scratch or two. In his last moments, Apollo let death gently take him, a small smile forming on his face. OOC: Apollo killed by Erik Marius Marius did not want to leave Cosette. Not one bit. But when the howl broke out, the first from Tarben, followed by Achilles’s own call, Marius could not turn away. He needed to attend to his delta duties. A deep fear ran through him – what if he didn’t make it back? That’s all he could think of as they walked towards the proving grounds, but once Achilles commenced the war, those thoughts disappeared as Marius went into fighting mode. He snarled, going after the first wolf he saw – a reptilia male coated in reds, whites, and blacks. The brute had readied himself, not expecting Marius to blind him and attack his front shoulder blade, digging his claws deep into the side and chest as his maw bit deep to dislocate the brute’s leg. A snarl from the reptilia male was quickly followed by an attack – Marius felt as his windpipe was crushed, causing him to immediately release and back up on wobbly legs, fear now coursing through his body. He knew he was going to die. The blood pooling out from around his neck, and the fact he could not get many breaths in…he was going to suffocate. His green eyes watched the Tarben brute, albeit blurry, begin to slowly walk away. Marius couldn’t just watch him leave, especially if he could still stand and move for a few more moments. For Cosette, for his children. He couldn’t give up, not yet. Marius lunged again, with the last of his energy, clamping his maw into the brute’s tail and docking it, and tearing his claws deep into the brute’s red rump, tearing what muscle he could. This caused the male to look back, snarling, and all Marius could give was a slight smirk before his body gave out, collapsing on the ground. Tears began to form in his eyes as he took his last gaspy breaths, singing mentally to himself before his heart stopped. ’And rain, will make the flowers, grow…’ OOC: Marius killed by Redd Actions and thoughts and "Words."
