The storm girl walked along the edges of Sabertooth. She was tied to somebody, and she noticed it never really led out of Sabertooth. That was good. She wouldn’t have to leave off her kappa duty. She took it very seriously.
The lass paced to the copse of trees she always watched from. Misty’s breath clouded. It was getting colder. She twanged the line, and a zinging sensation ran up her spine; she shuddered.
Misty walked in peace, keeping her ears tuned to all sound. She was an expert by now. Serving many months as a kappa, she knew her routine very well. She just hoped she’d run into her soulmate soon. She couldn’t take much more of this waiting. The Elemental was typically the patient sort, but when it came to her soulmate, she discovered that she was generally unable to tolerate the waiting. It was an exciting prospect, and she didn’t want it to just languish.
She prowled along the border. Misty generally left this area alone, but she’d decided to walk it today. Who knew, maybe she’d find her soulmate here. She sighed as her foot caught stubbornly in a dying patch of ivy. Heavens’ sakes. She unstuck it, then continued along. A chill tore through the air and Misty thoroughly ignored it. It didn’t bother her that much.
