The winter sunset boy had not been given much to do since the pack meeting, aside from visiting Nightingale, mainly to learn where it was located, since the announcement of his adopted sister, Amalthea, being the soulmate of Cato, the new alpha of those lands. Now she was going to a queen too. He spat just at the thought. Royalty with a title. Something he knew all too well he would never be. He wasn’t like Hermes, no. Hermes was the prince to one day inherit the throne, that much was obvious from Achilles’s treatment. As much as his father tried to treat all of the children the same, there was some favoritism. He rolled his steel gray eyes alike to his father’s, when they caught sight of the pink string from his chest…huh? His eyes widened. How long had that been there? Surely there’s no way he did not notice it for his whole trip, yes?

He heard of these ties before from his parents, who were also soulmate tied. Before he could get too into his thoughts, a slight twang at the string made him yelp in surprise but also pain. Apollo’s head looked forward, seeing the string led towards Sabertooth. Curious as to who it may be, he ran, the wind blowing through his bright sunlight sky pelt of bold purples, pinks, blues, and even yellows. He continued to follow it as best as he could. He was just short of the Sabertooth border when it started to fade. He skidded to a stop, confused at this, as he muttered ”No no no no….what…” Apollo did not let this confused stupor hold him much longer though, he needed to find who was on the other end. It did not take long, for the prince only had to cross the border to see who the earth had temporarily, it had appeared, assigned as his soulmate.

”Misty?” He spoke, calling to her once his eyes landed on the string that had just completely faded from his chest but also hers. ”Are you just as confused as I am? This soulmate tie was here and bright just moments ago….and now…it’s gone…?” His eyes expressed confusion and a bit of sadness. He wanted a true lover that he could share every moment with. How come the fates had changed their minds?
