. . . A boy liked Tyche? Liked her, truly?! She flushed deep red, eyes flicking bashfully down to the earth. No pun intended there, if that could qualify as a pun at all.
The commentary from Earth’s siblings was making Tyche a tad bit uncomfortable, though. She flushed even more as they each threw little additions to the conversation in. She shifted her weight, unsure of what to say. She finally settled for a timid ‘thank you’.
Tyche had never been told by an unrelated male that she was sweet, or pretty, or any of that stuff. Father would call Tyche his shining moon, and Selene his little angel. Lupin had a tendency to stick firmly to Tyche’s side at least eighty percent of the time, which always made the girl feel valued and safe. She was unused to romantic interests, but she had to admit it felt nice to be looked at in that way.
