Tyche’s blush was red and deep. She couldn’t believe a boy liked her this much! He seemed to really be smitten. The white teen shuffled her feet, embarrassed and happy. “I’m glad you find me likable. My social skills aren’t used much.” She dipped her head at Earth’s last remark. “I’m sorry. About your father, I mean. It’s never good to lose any member of your family. Hopefully you all can stay safe as long as you’re in Sabertooth.” Lightly, she swished her tail. This was turning out much differently than Tyche had expected, but also so, so much better than she ever could have hoped for, really. Hope began to swell in the big heart possessed by the young girl. He seems to really like me . . . I hope his family approves too, she thought, gazing at Earth. His siblings look to be okay with me.
