The Borealis Lady sauntered through Starfall, while she had already found a home and been claimed, she found herself hating every minute of it. It was cold, the only other Ethereal was a prisoner. She craved to be with the sophistication of her kind. Her new captor was none other than a soulmate, and while she felt the connection to him she wanted more. She knew well enough he'd expect children, but she was fearful of finding them . . . Displeasing. She had high expectations of having Ethereal children, colorful and gorgeous.
As the sunset began to fade in brightness, her bright and dancing pelt shifted in colors, reflecting off of the gentle waters that coursed the meadow of flowers. A soft sigh left her maw, she flopped down on the tall grass. Surely her small frame was out of sight for the most part, but she couldn't help the alluring glow of dancing colors that shined from her in the dark. She stared at her reflection in the slow water, how could he do this to her?
Lile, her supposed husband to be and knight in shining armor was nothing more than a sham. She had trained her whole life to be the prim, proper, loving and respected Queen - Wife of Lile, and a Queen of the Aurora Ethereal tribe. But she was turned away at the altar, the first day they met. He had found another, one he had given his heart to already. A Starling. What did she have that Aurora didn't? She was a lower class, and not even a noble.
She sighed as she stared at the reflection. She knew she wasn't ugly, but she wished she could be fought for. She wished she hadn't so willingly thrown herself to just be a part of something that automatically put her on the market for just anyone. Let alone by someone who wasn't a part of the Bloodline. Her magenta eyes stayed locked on the water, lost in thought . . .
