Hermes smiled, his tail softly wagging as her responses to his words only showed good signs. She had such a sweet smile and such a cute laugh! He commented on her borealis pelt and her words weren’t surprising, well, the first part wasn’t. "I'm the only in Starfall I've seen so far….but you're the first I've seen who can fly! Winged Ethereal were not something my clan ever had seen!" Hermes smiled proudly ”There are a few of us around here like me. My one sister is also a Skyborne, though she has much darker and bluer hues than I. My other siblings either have only the skyling pelt like my mother had – she now has traits of a cat and wings herself, or the wings like my father has, who also gained caribou antlers just recently too. Sabertooth is a whole melting pot of different bloodlines.” When he asked about her more personally, he noticed her sadden, and his own mannerisms reflected her own, in that his ears folded back as hers did, his eyes watching her carefully and with concern as she spoke. "I-I mistakenly live in Tarben, though I don't stay there long enough to actually consider myself a resident.” His eyes widened at those words…Tarben? Perhaps she knew of who hurt Lazarus. ”It was the first place I found, they were returning from war.” Well that ruled out that potential lead. ”I came in and was instantly asked to stand on a pedestal surrounded by filthy men to be eye candy, claimed and I'm supposed to bare children with whomever claimed me. Beartooth is sick in the head. So I try to stay outside of there. The laws there are disgusting, the men are pigs and the women are all either heavily into being playthings for anyone who wishes to lay with them or they're like me - Thrown into something they didn't know would be anything like it is and terrified of the outcome if we leave." Hermes felt anger begin to bubble inside of him, her next words barely hitting his ears. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to ramble." He stood up abruptly, his next words without filter. ”F uck Tarben…” He muttered, turning away for a moment, taking a deep breath to compose himself, and then turned back to Aurora. ”I’m sorry…but how did you end up there out of all places? Tarben neighbors Hawthorne, which neighbors us.” He paused, breathing out heavily. ”I’m sorry for my outburst, lady Aurora.” He shook his head, looking at his paws for a moment before attempting to meet her eyes again. ”Sabertooth is a pack with no allies per say right now, but our Theta was tasked with keeping an eye out for spirits caused from Hawthorne, as she was a spirit elemental. Well…naturally she went to check out the war…and was harmed by a member of Tarben. When she made it back into our lands to the meeting my father called upon his sight of the war, she managed to speak a few words to us before she took her last breath.” After a moment of silence and a sigh from Hermes, he sat back down next to Aurora. He looked out at the flowery expanse, speaking softly. ”Aurora, I will get you out of those hellish icy lands to the best of my ability whilst not triggering another war. You can take my word for it.With me, Sabertooth would be your new solace…oh! Uhm…that is, if you so wish for it….” His words towards the end became flustered as he realized the weight of the words coming out of his maw. His face pinkened, which did not stand out much from his already primarily pink coat due to his winter sunrise. If she were to speak, it would fill the silence he would leave for a few moments. However, if she did not take that opportunity, words would leave his maw once again as he would stare at the horizon in some thought. ”Aurora…may I ask how you came to Starfall? How come you did not stay with your old clan?” His tone only meant curiosity, but he would understand if she was to become defensive at his question. He would turn his head and cock it, whilst trying to have his bright pink eyes meet her own. Actions and Thoughts/Others and "Speaking."
