Re: Spare, or spares, 10kW 316B on Mi Amigo 1972/3 to 1980
Nothing in what you have quoted contradicts what I have written that it is most likely 1960 built serial 32 under the stairs (to the left in the picture) rejoining after about 7 years 1960 built serial 37 (in front at the bottom of the stairs) as opposed to either of 1963 built serial 77 or 79. On the right, where 32 and 37 were together 1960-1963 and 1963-1966, is 317C production number 27, serial 14. There is also a picture, probably early 1974, of Ronan, Chicago and Noakes, backs to the 317C, looking at what I believe to be serial 32, which is out of picture. Previous Message On Norman Barrington's site, he has some plans of the Mi-Amigo in 1973. http://normanb.com/plans.htm It shows 2 x 10 kW transmitters in the transmitter room. Could these have been put there after the ship was taken back out to sea?
