When the Mi Amigo returned, test transmissions from 29 September 1972 were on 1187kHz, including on the temporary antenna system after the 1966-extended mast collapsed on 14 November. 1520kHz was used for Radio 199 then Radio Caroline from 17 December to 30 December 1972.
By then 32 and 37 had to have been reunited after nearly 7 years apart. This had to happen while the bolted-down "roof" over the transmitter area could be removed for access. This was not possible from the end of December when the three insulators were placed on three thick metal plates on top off the"roof" and the base stage of the De Kerf manufactured (triangular) mast installed. 1187kHz returned on 2 January 1973.
Sounds good, thanks!
When the Mi Amigo started broadcasting again in 1972 199 was used, not 259. Could this have been from No. 32, presumably still tuned to 199?
Eventually serial number 32 arrived on the Mi Amigo.
