I had probably 5 people see me without a beer, bring me one, and when I refused, just give it to the person nearest. And then everyone went about their lives. One of the things that I REALLY hope come off this fasting program is shift in my relationship with food and alcohol. Basically, I'm trying to learn the ability to say "no." I've done a three day and two day (January 2-4 & 8-9), consuming nothing but water and two electrolyte packets per day. The other days, I just try to eat normal and moderate my drinking. Granted, I was in Denver for for days last weekend, and Austin for two days the weekend before that, so that hasn't been great. However, I'm down 21 lbs. since January 1 and feeling great.
