I have a rather inviting stash of older aircraft kits, the very ones I built in my youth. I like to crack out one or two at odd times just for the relaxation of the build:



A couple of my favourites, the Grumman F4F Wildcat and the Douglas SBD Dauntless, both were workhorses often dismissed unfairly by the "historians" in favour of the sexy models like P51s.

The models themselves are old Hawk kits, an American range from the 1960s. Lots of fun to build again using modern adhesives, paints, and methods I didn't have the first time I built the very same kits as a boy.

Very therapeutic, especially when the Black Dog comes to visit.
