I grew up on a farm right in the middle of the USA here in Missouri. Always loved horses but never had one! After following my husband in the corporate world and living in big cities, we decided to move to rural Missouri and now have our "hobby farm" of sorts. It's our little paradise, and the good thing is that we're not far from KC, so we still have a lot of the amenities there, too.

We don't have horses, but we do have horses right next door to us! Three quarter horses... and I sometimes feed them nuggets of molasses and alfalfa which they love. Problem is, there is always a greedy one that doesn't want the others to get any, and they will kick and fight over them! The neighbor girl, 13, does competitions. I tilled up an arena for her to practice with them. They take very good care of their horses, and she takes care of our dogs when we are out of town, too.
