Two things can both be true and each can be considered bad because neither is good.
Surely we can all agree that racism, misogyny, hate, homophobia, sexism, and cold blooded murder are all BAD things. Neither has to be good so the other can be bad or vice versa.
Kirk wasn't a "good man", but didn't deserve killing based on his expression of his vile opinions.
The man who killed him is also a bad man. I don't care about his affiliations and beliefs, he is a cold blooded killer. Plain and simple.
I totally hate how the right are desperately trying to portray Kirk as good and demonizing his killer.
