Over my 30 year ed career, conditions worsened every year.

Once I recorded on my phone, a video of a young hoodlum throwing a chair in my classroom when he first came in. He picked up the chair and threw it across the room, just for his fun. He had a history of that, and admin did nothing, so I recorded it. I got in trouble for recording him without his or his parents' permission! My last three years were ever deepening levels of hell.

I left the concert stage to do this. My career as a concert pianist was taking off. But I chose instead to teach. To take my experience as a professional musician and use it for teaching. At the end, I went back to the stage, where I worked until retirement last year.

Many teachers could write such books. It is the chief reason there's a national qualified teacher shortage in every subject, and why standards were lowered and compromised to find new teachers.
