"All a long time ago" - indeed Freddie but whilst us anoraks still have working grey matter we will never forget. Nice clippings Mike and I hadn't seen the one about dear old Albert before and didn't know he went out with Peter Chicago and others to see if anything could be salvaged from the wreck.
Seeing that mast still rising up out of the sea three years later when the Ross dropped anchor in the Knock Deep makes you realise how sturdy the construction was although I believe the top bit did come down shortly after it was first erected off the Dutch coast and before the final move back to the English coast.
