RTVE announces the end of broadcasts on Medium Wave and reinforces its commitment to digital radio on DAB+
After 88 years, Radio Nacional de Espaņa will stop broadcasting Radio Nacional and Radio 5 on Medium Wave to concentrate its efforts on the development of digital radio in DAB+
The broadcasts will end before December 31st and the public will be informed through a special campaign.

The 69,000 total I would think will be smaller as some will listen to both RNE Radio 1 and 5 on medium wave.
