I checked 855KHZ earlier this evening which previously had a fairly strong RNE service on it and I could a very weak but audible station on there which had presenter links that actually sounded Spanish!They identified as what sounded like Radio Ramania but the pronunciation had too heavy an accent to get a clear listen. Checking again just now at around 7:15 in the evening and there seems to be just a dead carrier on 855 which seems to be cross mixing with another dead carrier on the same channel of similar signal strength. This could just be skywave mixing effects. Maybe somebody else has jumped on the channel in the region or even a pirate is a possibility I suppose. It's weak but audible unlike RNE before was with multiple mixing co-channel transmitters. Something to check out.
