I am not surprised that you have broken ranks with both major political parties. You have been blazing different trails for quite some time. Which I also salute.
But let me first start with Jan 6th. This was a political event gone bad, but I don't see it as an attempted coup. Was the capital stormed by armed insurrectionists? The only shot that was fired was at a woman who in my opinion foolishly tried to enter a restricted chamber of the building. I said then and I will say it again, I deplore the forced entry of the capital. I would have taken my place beside the Capital Police to protect the building. Watch the footage of the people who entered the building. Most of them were peacefully strolling around. Is that a coup?
Compare this event to Portland, Seattle, Kenosha or Minneapolis prior to that. Damage in the millions, many lives lost. The entire nation was suffering discontent. Jan 6 pales in comparison.
As for Palestine. What was your reaction to the Oct 7th attack on Israel? I've heard that over 1200 men, women and children were killed. I've seen footage of one of the female hostages who showed signs of violent rape and who was ultimately found dead. How many hostages are still alive facing who knows what kind of terror and abuse. Were these actions justified?
I would like to be able to write more, but I am have to break away from the keyboard and help my daughter prepare for her upcoming wedding. Fingers crossed on this one!
