I get your point, but you can't compare city riots to a bunch of guys trying to take over the Rotunda of the state capitol with police having to use teargas & percussion grenades to move them backwards.
Let's not forget even VP Pence felt threatened and had to be surrounded by guards to protect him from the mob.
And Trump was the voice encouraging them!
Not a great moment for American Democracy!

As for Oct.7, for folks like me who's been following the Israel occupation & apartheid of the Palestinian people's land, the Hamas attack was no surprise. My sympathy goes to the folks at the concerts but not for the IDF soldiers in the area who got killed. And don't forget the area they attacked was part of occupied Palestinian territory.

I do remember the image of the Israeli woman being loaded into a van and she sure looked like she was subject to some form of sexual abuse. And as if the whole attack wasn't bad enough, the Israeli propaganda machinery started exaggerating what really happened with claims that babies were placed in ovens and women's belly were cut open and their babies removed etc etc. Those were lies discredited by even the New York Times. Unbelievable!

Seems the most expensive things these days are weddings and funerals. As i've told my kids, when I kick the bucket, just toast me - burn me to a crisp and scatter the ashes whereEVAR. lol
