I thought it was fascinating! I didn't run down the complete rat hole, but I discovered some things about the family tree that nobody had uncovered.

I'm 68% Lithuanian. I was surprised because my mother is 100%, and I didn't think Dad had any, but my other mix is Russian and German (and a sprinkle of mutt) -LOL

I discovered my grandmother's real name (Lithuanian) and traced my family back to a few towns on her side. I tried to reach out to people with the same name on FB but didn't get a reply. I didn't expect one, but I figured it was worth a shot.

My Dad always joked about being part Indian. Two Indians are going along, lost, and one says to the other as they cross over a ridge, "Fck-r-wee" So we were part Fck-r-wee.
