my grandmother's Mohawk history was shrouded with some mystery..
Some Dutch settler got his Mohawk honey prego... the baby was rejected by the whites and lifted down over the palisades of some fort to the local Mohawk tribe, "The Hills" who raised her as their own. That'd be my great grandmother I think..I may have missed a generation..the story is muddled...anyways my grandmother ended up, of all things after leaving the reservation.. later marrying a Dutchman just the same... I guess the blood calls to blood... I'm third generation, I'm told, and can still apply for membership in the tribe as a full Mohawk...but no sense pissin Trump off just yet..he's got his hands full of other domestic terrorists..lol...
