I too, have lineage way back to the Witch Trials...and our oldest daughter, who will carry on the genealogy. She has researched some lines of ours more...and found that one of our ancestors is the one that held the witch trials and persecuted those HE thought were witches...and our daughter can hardly handle that fact in the genealogical line....and so it goes...huh?

Also, it would be my paternal line and my Third Great Grandmother..of which I have a copy of a painting of her that some say was Cherokee...but, I have never been able to prove it....and did stop in Talahquah, OK one time at the Cherokee Genealogical and History building...and he told me if she married outside of the tribe there is no record of her at all...They were married in 1804 in Rockingham Co., Virginia... My DNA shows no sign of having Indian blood, also.....
