A few years ago I got £400.00 from my Nationwide saving account and had a savings book. The young guy counted out the cash put it in the book and gave it to me. I didn’t check until I got home. When I took the money out and checked the book it hadn’t been registered as a withdrawal. It must have been late afternoon when I rang Nationwide. I spoke to someone to explain and he said thanks, the guy who served you is at the moment having a problem trying to balance his transactions for the day. I went back the next day and they recorded the withdrawal in my little savings book. I’ve still have it and use it. I am probably one of a very few who still likes her little savings book.
