Not necessarily closest to the sun. And Moana Kea is the most gain from base to summit if you remove the water, but still ~15000 feet lower in elevation than everest. …but the best solution they have for crossing life threatening crevices is to strap aluminum ladders together. This is redneck neighbors stuff, but it’s apparently the pinnacle of mountain climbing technology.
