Probably need to have something to keep the new pup out of the yard of the pit pull next door. Never worried about having a fence previously as either 1) there wasn't a house there, or 2) my older dog learned to stay on our side of the woods when there were other dogs on that property.
As we have a large, wooded area I'd prefer not to go with a physical line as I'm not sure it could easily be buried with all the tree roots. (A prior attempt by former neighbors with a physical line was not buried in large sections for this reason.)
Biggest concern is range and how it would work with a solid tree canopy.
