It's on "smart" mode so it keeps the hot water in the line typical times of day I need water... so it's always instant hot water about 6:30 when I fill up my kettle to make coffee....
There's a little bit of a lag (maybe an extra 5 seconds or so) otherwise
Overall the system works pretty well. I'm happy with it.
The selling point for me was the tankless option came with the recirculation pump.. and adding it to the tank system would have made the two about the same.
