it's a nice tryout for him because if he can go out there and look like 2009 Nate Scheelhaase, that puts us in a pretty good spot... if him and Carson look mid... well, we know before spring ball.

All things considered I'm making lemonade out of this

Oregon. -8.5 @ Illini o/u 51. 2pm BTN - redgrange77 October 19, 2026, 19:02:29

Moore officially out. Also Stewart. Platt listed as probable for us. - tvillini Yesterday, 20:44:23
- If they hadn’t pulled it out at last second against Nebraska, this would be a dead team coming in - OB25 Yesterday, 21:04:21
Oregon could probably play 22 of their Rudys and still win by 21* - bbonb October 20, 2026, 17:43:33
If Houser was healthy I honestly think we might win - illini21 October 20, 2026, 09:29:17
- To quote Cignetti,” kcuf it, pray for Oregon.” (nm) - Waka October 20, 2026, 11:53:36
- I feel gutted for Katin, who was very good... but also part of me - ijustkrushalot October 20, 2026, 09:54:50
  - Soph Altmyer was slow reading the defense and in his decision making - CanHartlebHireSnider October 20, 2026, 10:20:09
    - We very possibly would be 5-1 with Altmyer at QB. Houser was bad against Purdue and the Duke game - Orangeillini October 20, 2026, 11:21:45
      - I would disagree with that but my post didn’t mention Altmyer either of the last two years* - CanHartlebHireSnider October 20, 2026, 11:32:09
      - Maybe I'm misremembering but I feel like the Duke game was on the coaches, not on Houser.* - ATL October 20, 2026, 11:22:48

he did not play well in the 2H - illiniranger October 20, 2026, 13:18:05

He didn’t play well, but I’d struggle to blame him for the final turnover on downs… - OB25 October 20, 2026, 13:21:14

        It was a 6 play drive, that’s not how it went. - illiniranger October 20, 2026, 15:48:25

Houser missed the one TD in the 1st half that took 4 points off the board, but otherwise… - OB25 October 20, 2026, 11:38:07

Houser also threw an interception with 7 minutes left and Duke up by 4 points* - Orangeillini October 20, 2026, 11:41:06

Luke is definitely better off script - CanHartlebHireSnider October 20, 2026, 11:39:38

They definitely have different strengths so it does probably more or less wash out - OB25 October 20, 2026, 12:19:43

Houser and Altmyer stats are almost identical, except for Altmyer's SO year - illiniranger October 20, 2026, 13:15:33
  - i don't know if Clayton will be THE GUY going forward - Gene Parmesan October 20, 2026, 10:10:13
    - These were the first throws he's ever made... let's pump the brakes on takeaways... - uofi1998 October 20, 2026, 11:00:09
      - yeah on a few throws they were close to being picked - ECEIllinois October 20, 2026, 11:23:37
      - Agree, this year has become more interesting with Clayton. Houser is obviously better - Warrin'_Illini October 20, 2026, 11:16:33
    - unrelated but the name Clayton always makes me think of Saving Silverman - IlliniSax05 October 20, 2026, 10:26:11
    - i think we will keep going with short term rental QBs - illiniranger October 20, 2026, 10:24:46
      - If, and I stress if, Clayton proves himself over the final 6 games... - uofi1998 October 20, 2026, 11:02:12
      - yeah, i'm sure we will. - Gene Parmesan October 20, 2026, 10:56:56
      - I think it's the best move unless you can land on a prep recruit - ijustkrushalot October 20, 2026, 10:52:20
- I think we have a small shot - ijustkrushalot October 20, 2026, 09:33:58
  - TIL: Akili Smith Jr. is Oregon's fourth quarterback* - IlliniOllie October 20, 2026, 09:39:35
Yeh it was 12.5 yesterday so they must be thinking Moore still isn’t playing?* - OB25 October 19, 2026, 19:15:17
- If we keep the loss under double digits, I'd be surprised, even without Moore or Stewart - ibdoc October 20, 2026, 08:41:44
  - west coast B1G teams play like shit when they come east and vice versa - illiniranger October 20, 2026, 10:15:40
