...there's no reason to go chasing the dragon... go get a lower level experienced guy (see: Paddock) to be his backup and spend big money on the defense.

It's obviously a huge if, but we are not going to be competing monetarily for the Darian Mensah-types anyway... so what's the marginal difference?
