was there for the taking at the end. The difference between a feel-good 9-10 win team and a team scraping by to get to 6-6 and make a bowl game can be really small, and I would argue that Altmyer was worth 3-4 wins per year each of the last two years. He just made so many clutch plays at the best possible time in games.

Maybe (probably) we'll be worse off without Houser, but I'm excited to see what we can do without him. We were not on a path to be successful with him at QB.

Senior Paddock came in and just gripped and ripped it.

Altmyer improved a bunch over his 3 years.

Katin>>>Soph Altmyer. I am skeptical that frosh Clayton with very limited experience will give the same jolt that senior Paddock did.

But Clayton has other skills as well. Hopefully he can develop.

Moore officially out. Also Stewart. Platt listed as probable for us. - tvillini October 21, 2026, 20:44:23
- If they hadn’t pulled it out at last second against Nebraska, this would be a dead team coming in - OB25 October 21, 2026, 21:04:21
Oregon could probably play 22 of their Rudys and still win by 21* - bbonb October 20, 2026, 17:43:33
