Hospital's rarely force someone to move. I'm sure a job offer with better pay/incentives came up* Archived Message

Previous Message If they're being transferred at the employer's request, the employer will usually pay to break leases if needed. If they're moving by choice, I would probably tell them that they signed a lease and their responsible until the end of it. Previous Message We have a renter in my wife’s old house. 12 month lease, ends May 31st. Tenant is a recently graduated dr. They are moving back to Durham to work at the main hospital rather than the Raleigh branch. Last week they asked out of their lease for the whole month of May with a full release of the rent that they would owe that month. Her and I differed on our response, curious how you would react.

- I'd tell them that I'd try to find a renter for May 1. If I didn't, they'd owe May.* - Chicago1995 January 24, 2024, 8:44:18
- Lots of ways to go about it but ultimately I would not be out of pocket when all was said and done. - Tuscy January 24, 2024, 8:40:27
