Even if parts of it are inaccessible to patrons, the landscaping provides a number of benefits. Archived Message

Across the street you have a police station with a big surface parking lot and a 7/11 gas station that sits on an area almost as large as this one, and another big surface parking lot that services god knows what. The only relief in that area is Lane Tech's campus. Chicago has plenty of gray gentrification boxes and I would be fine with putting another one here. This could be nice and maybe even a tourist destination, though. A park and some chicken tendies in the heart of Concreteland. Previous Message Previous Message One problem is it would be great with outdoor seating but not sure how much they can add, what with people being mad that it will indeed bring more people to that corner. I do agree with the main thrust of the opposition in that it could royally fuck up traffic at that intersection, though. Previous Message Previous Message I think that is more than an acceptable use of the space. Previous Message Not just fill it with whatever because it's there. Previous Message Previous Message

- Brutal. Not a comment about the area as I don’t know a thing about it - snipes824 January 25, 2024, 14:52:47
- I’m confused, that location is a public transit dead zone - bigbop85 January 25, 2024, 14:38:16
- For non-Chicagoans, the river is just to the west of this spot - reggiedunlop January 25, 2024, 14:28:38

- Love that the shitty vacant lot apparently doesn't hamper the local aesthetic. * - Warrin'_Illini January 25, 2024, 13:44:34
