Chapman and Montgomery considering the deals they got, but unlike many Cubs teams of the past they actually have guys at those spots who I want to see play (Morel, Wicks, Assad, etc.)
The farm system being built back up is huge. They're not chasing waterfalls, it feels like a more sustainable model than pretty much anything I've ever seen from the Cubs. Jed has definitely shown the ability to restrain himself, but you are correct they'll have to put their foot down eventually.
I'm very bullish on this team as is, however. I think they can roll this division.

Kind of just passable. Bring back Bellinger and improve on Stroman with Shota. I like Busch. But they didn’t enough to really take control of the division.
I’m not including Counsell who I do expect to make an impact.
But they should be the behemoth of the division IMO and they’ve done kind of just enough to make sure they’re in the race.
This is the last year they can get by with “keeping the powder dry” IMO. Next year if all goes to plan the farm should be churning out major league impact. They need to supplement that and put their foot down.
