We rattled off a bunch of wins in a row including the blowout win at Oregon and beating Penn State by 30+ without our best player. The idea that anyone could even be worried about the USC game that followed was shot down as unwarranted grizzle, which probably was fair at the time. In the lead up to that, Will Riley had scored 5, 3, 5, 4, and 7 points in our P5 wins from the month prior. And we all thought, my god what will this team look like if Will Riley puts it together. Truly amazing that he’s put it together to a level beyond what I could have even hoped for and somehow the season has gone in the tank at the same time. |
