one of the worst offenders and his father showed up my door today to apologize and to say that there will be punishment for his actions and that it wouldn't happen again. He's trying to talk to the the other parents to make the sure message relays as wide as possible. I'm sure we'll be the talk of the lunchroom on Monday.

They struck again on Friday, and pushed over the edge, I walked over to the junior high with about a dozen photos of the kids to give to the school. The administrator, who was very nice and helpful, told me that there wasn't a lot he could do since it wasn't on school property. He did ask, however, for the police report number.

After I got home and started making dinner, I decided to go the full Karen public shaming route, posting a bunch of the kids pictures on the neighborhood Facebook page. I also posted photos of the kids writing their name in wet cement. I half expected to get attacked for posting minors photos on Facebook, but just the opposite happened, and neighbors were overwhelmingly in support of my crusade. One of the parents reached out to me directly, said she knew who the kids were, had already spoken to their parents, who were very upset about the situation, and was going to deal with it. She asked me to take down the photos, which I did at the end of the evening, after the administrator of the facebook page had locked down the comments. I told the woman if anything happens in the future, the pictures go right back up. I'm not sure these kids are going to get in trouble or not, but at the very least, I am hopeful that they'll stop harassing us.

at a schoool that is a few blocks from my house. They've been periodically ding dong ditching us for a few years now. At first it was entertaining, but it's escalated significantly in the past month. One kid in particular is rather aggressive, kicking the door so hard that it scared the crap out of me a few weeks ago. The situation has escalated to the point that the kids are basically terrorizing the neighborhood. Yesterday I sat on my porch when they got out of school so that they wouldn't do anything. I tried to speak with the principal at the school, but he/she didn't call me back. My wife sent an email to the school yesterday filing a complaint. I legit don't want them to get in trouble, I just want it to stop. I feel like a total Karen, but it's been very annoying. We have two cameras on our front door, so I literally have a video of them every time they do something. If I ever actually get my hands on one of them, I can't guarantee I won't do something stupid. We've clearly given them what they want and escalated the situation, which isn't helping, but I don't know what else to do. Of course the ringleader is a black kid with corn rows, straight from hood rat central casting.
