Here is some perspective

They actually did a "Battle of the Sexes" exhibition last season, the number one women's team in the world (Homan of Canada) vs. the number one men's team in the world (Mouat of Scotland). They stacked the deck to try to make the game more even and competitive by giving special rules to the men's team, and they still absolutely dominated. Men are just so much stronger in terms of sweeping and throwing takeout weight. If you look at the "super league" in my club, the best league, I don't think there is a single women's team in the upper half of the standings, and these are the best women curlers in our club.

about hating on mixed doubles. It's just not "real curling". There's a lot of atheticism involve, and I respect that part, but it's very different sport, and I really love the four person team dynamics of a full team.
