The Queen’s antique Girandole earrings

On closer inspection of the earrings below in the first link worn by QEII; I at times wonder if they are not the diamonds seen at the chest of Queen Alexandra in the second link of a picture below. They look larger on Queen Alexandra, but they are of the same shape of the Girandole earrings and may look more pronounced because of the black and white photo. What do others think?
