I am a former college coach…..long retired I still keep up with teams, players and people I’ve met along the way. I’m disturbed by the way a lot of parents act… not just a this particular school. I read this thread because I am familiar with Yvette Tovar. I feel she was a great choice for Lake Central. I cannot imagine the frustration with having to cater to parents that are way too involved and opinionated . I guarantee you… any parent that thinks this type of behavior will fly with a college coach is going to very surprised.

Yes you need to have great skills but we also look at attitude, work ethic and any problems will also be considered….people love to talk so we usually know EVERYTHING.
There have been great players that have been D1 material but never get an offer or released because of interference from parents.
Micromanaging?!?!? After reading the entire LC thread, I am going to agree with some of the posters, I think LC has a case of some unsatisfied parents and apparently a part of the assistant coaching team causing problems. To the other parents that choose to not get involved… congratulations!!! You are making this experience meaningful…. The harsh truth is this may be the last time your child plays this beloved game.
This team has everything to make state ….. this stuff is causing the problems. Let the coach coach and players play …..
