Why are you (or your daughter) trying to solve the problems of the school she is leaving? Not her job. Get in the portal and hopefully she will find a new home.

The broader perspective should be the red flag to the administration. If it's not, they have even bigger problems than your daughter is going to bring to light.

If they ask, I would advise her to give a politically correct answer. I've changed my major and believe a new start in a different program will benefit me overall. I appreciate the time and wish you the best yadda ... yadda ... yadda. She has nothing to gain with, as you put it, "being honest."
