The Khan was not much of a serial romancer, so when he had found these feelings for the beautiful fire kissed princess on the pedestal he could not help but claim her. He was not often good with words either, which is why he was surprised with himself that he could find it in him to speak so softly and kind to her. His pledge however, he meant it. Should Ares or anyone dare to try and claim his Princess, he would fight with his life for her. She was now his Princess, and would remain his only. He wasn't much of a family man either, but if children is what she craved he wouldn't deny them from her. After all, with his feathers and her beauty, the children she would bare would be god-like.
After he finished his pledge, his words following as well of a den, he noticed the Princesses ears and eyes direct to him. "Thank you, Kublai. I.. There isn't anything I could ask for. That's all I wish." He gave her a soft smile and a nod. "I will give you the world if you ask, Princess. Anything you wish." He spoke softly to her. "In all honesty, I hadn't made one yet. I've spend every night under the stars, hoping for the safety of Tarben. This war took a lot out of us and theres still plenty of healing for me to do for my fellow members. Several injuries. Severeal deaths. My sister perished in the war, unable to defend herself against the mobs that raged against her." He looked to her as her words wavered. She was in pain. "I would like to build a den with you. A home for us. I would like to trust in you. It will take time, but as you said we are destined for one another. All I ask is it's in a good place where I can see the stars. They remind me of those we've lost."
The Khan nodded at her words, watching her still. "As you wish, my Princess. I am truly sorry to hear of your loss." He spoke as he began to look around. A small earthy mound under snow near the frozen like caught his eye. He made his way over, beginning to dig and dig. If Lova had offered to help, he'd only ask her to not get her paws dirty. It took some time, but he didn't mind the sweat and dirt. He'd seen his fair share of it all before. His white and black body sunk deeper and deeper into the ground as he made the large den, making sure it was far enough away from the frozen water to keep from any flooding in warmer weather, but not too far to where his ideal plan was not an option. As he moved around, making sure there was enough space, he looked out of the entrance and he could see it. Dusk was already setting in, stars spotting the sky. They reflected off of the lake, and were still visible as well in the sky from the entrance. A smile fell over his face as he stuck his head out of the hole. "Would you like to check my work, Princess Lova? I just want to make sure you find this suitable."
